The Fountain is not your average film. The movie stars Hugh Jackman (Tomas/Tommy/Tom) and Rachel Weisz (Queen Isabel/Izzi Creo) in this multidimensional drama love story. Darren Aronofsky does a great job at telling the 3 stories than span across the millennium.
Tomas is a Spanish Conquistador who is in search for the Tree of Life for the Queen of Spain, Queen Isabel to achieve eternal life. Tom is doctor who is obsessed with his work in order to give his wife Izzi more time to live. Tommy is futuristic astronaut. All three of these stories intertwine and ask if you could life forever would you be happy even if means your alone.
When you decide to watch this film, remember to think outside of the box. In order to appreciate this film you have to see almost the entire story before the connection comes clear.

this movie seems so cool. the more and more i hear about it, the more i want to see it!
