The Queen movie review

When this movie came out in the theater I really had no desire to watch it since I wasn’t really big on a movie about the monarch and speaking of the passing of Diana. I thought some things are better left as memories. I decided to watch it on DVD since I rented it for family. Well I was glad I took the time to watch this insightful film. In the movie The Queen, Helen Mirren plays an outstanding role as Queen Elizabeth II. Just like the events that took place Helen Mirren embodies the nuances and style of the Queen.

James Cromwell who plays the Queen’s husband in his role you just want to slap the taste out of mouth due to his old stanch ways. His feelings towards the whole matter are cold and yet that is what you may expect from the Royal monarch.

Michael Sheen who plays Tony Blair co-stars and plays a wonderful role in his portrayal. This movie is refreshing in time where glam, action and effects have taken movies to new heights. The Queen is a movie I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a good story.
